Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/21/17) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team defeated the visiting Argonauts of Notre Dame de Namur University, 15-8, this afternoon in a non-conference game played at the DC Lacrosse Field.
Today was Dominican's Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) game. This is an East Coast Conference (ECC) fundraising effort for their members in the sport of men's lacrosse to raise money and awareness for a great cause. This year's conference fundraising effort was suggested by Dominican College Head Coach, Marcelo Sandoval, and Associate Head Coach, Daniel Steigert. In April of 2016, Michael Coffey of Dominican College passed away from complications due to Muscular Dystrophy. Coffey was an Assistant Sports Information Director and Assistant Basketball Coach at Dominican. He was also a big fan and supporter of the men's lacrosse team and the sport of lacrosse.
