PIERCE NETS CAREER HIGH FIVE GOALS IN VICTORY OVER EAGLES

(4/26/17) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team outscored the visiting Eagles of Post University, 7-2, in the final quarter to lead them to an 18-15 non-conference win in a non-conference game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. In the win, freshman midfielder Marcos Pierce (Middleburg, Va.) scored a career high five goals.

Senior Sean Driscoll (Stony Point, N.Y.) tied his career high with three game goals, while rookie Nick D'Alessandro (Levittown, N.Y.) netted two goals and four assists in the win.
Junior Evan Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) also scored two goals and added an assist.
Kevin Mayer (Wantagh, N.Y.) and Michael Reyes (East Meadow, N.Y.) both scored one goal and one assists, while Jack Kiernan (East Patchogue, N.Y.), Nicolas Jelovcic (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Chris Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) all netted one goal each in the win.
John Rooney (Bellmore, N.Y.) made six saves in 30 minutes of action, while Carlos Villaman (Montgomery, N.Y.) had four saves in the last 30 minutes.
The Chargers trailed 13-11 going into final 15 minutes of action when the offense came alive with the first five scores of the quarter to take a 16-13 advantage with under six minutes to go. D'Alessandro and Pierce netted the final two Charger goals in the last four minutes of play for the 18-15 win.
With the win, Dominican improves to 6-8 on the season.
