MEN'S LACROSSE PICKED SECOND IN INAUGURAL CACC MEN'S LACROSSE PREASON POLL
New Haven, Conn. (2/5/18) The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) was proud to announce its inaugural Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll on Monday, as Chestnut Hill College was selected first in the poll. The voting was conducted by the league's head coaches in the sport of men's lacrosse, as the CACC will host its first conference championship in the sport in April 2018.

(2/5/18) The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) was proud to announce its inaugural Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll on Monday, as Chestnut Hill College was selected first in the poll. The voting was conducted by the league's head coaches in the sport of men's lacrosse, as the CACC will host its first conference championship in the sport in April 2018.
The Griffins earned 33 points and three first-place votes in the poll. CHC, along with Dominican College, previously competed as associate members in the East Coast Conference (ECC) prior to the 2018 campaign. The Chargers followed Chestnut Hill in second place in the preseason poll, as DC produced 27 points a pair of first-place nods.
Chestnut Hill went 8-5 last season and qualified for the ECC Tournament. It marked the fifth time in the last seven seasons the Griffins produced an overall record of .500 or better. The Griffins will be guided by first-year head coach Mike Terranova in 2018.
Chestnut Hill, Dominican, Georgian Court University and Post University are four of the six programs in CACC Men's Lacrosse who has played the sport at the varsity level prior to the 2018 campaign. A pair of first-year programs will also be competing this season including Felician University and Wilmington University.

The 2018 CACC Championship will be staged April 27-29 at the GCU Turf Field on the Georgian Court campus in Lakewood, N.J. The event will be staged the same weekend as the 2018 CACC Women's Lacrosse Championship. The men's semifinals will be held on Friday the 27th, followed by the championship final on Sunday the 29th at 12 p.m.
