SOUZA NAMED TO GOOGLE CLOUD ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT® MEN'S AT-LARGE FIRST TEAM

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/18/18) Dominican College men's lacrosse player, Kyle Souza, has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large First Team as was announced recently. The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/18/18) Dominican College men's lacrosse player, Kyle Souza, has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large First Team as was announced recently. The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.

This is his first Google Cloud Academic All-District® Honors.

Souza, a junior defender from Stratford, Conn., was previously named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team and the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) First Team. Souza a three-year starter ranked 18th in the CACC in caused turnovers and one of this year's captains.  Off the field, Souza sports a 3.97 gpa and is majoring in Criminal Justice.  He has been named the Dominican College Top Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Male Scholar-Athlete and was inducted into the Dominican College New York Sigma Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma.  He was also a two-time selection to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.

The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams.
