THREE CHARGERS NAMED TO 2019 CACC MEN'S LACROSSE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/9/19) Dominican College men's lacrosse players; Kyle Souza, Shaun Palmer and Bryan O'Loughlin, were named to the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara yesterday.
Seventeen (17) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team. All six programs that play the sport in the conference had at least one all-academic team member.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
Dominican College's Souza boasted the highest cumulative grade point average with a mark of 3.98 in his major of ciminal justice and makes his second appearance on the All-Academic Team. The senior also won the CACC Top XVI Award at the men's lacrosse championship for having the highest cumulative GPA at the final's site.
Palmer also earns his second All-Academic honors as he boasts a GPA of 3.75 in the major of histor/education, while O'Loughlin makes his first appearance with a GPA of 3.52 in the major of special education.
Seven honorees earned all-academic status for at least the second time in their distinguished careers.
Georgian Court University, which claimed the 2019 CACC crown this past weekend, led the way with five honorees, which was highlighted by Brandon Razler's top GPA mark of 3.85. Chestnut Hill College, which was the other team to advance to the conference championship final, followed GCU with four honorees, as both Christopher Dachowski and Tyler Howe led the way with 3.70 GPAs, respectively.
