O'LOUGHLIN AND BARKER NAMED TO CACC MLAX ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/8/22) Thirty-eight (38) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 38 honorees represent all seven CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
MEMBERS ON 2022 CACC MEN'S LACROSSE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/8/22) Thirty-eight (38) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 38 honorees represent all seven CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
Reigning CACC Champion Chestnut Hill College paced all teams with a league-leading nine honorees. Connor O'Donnell led the Griffins with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average. Post University was next on the list with eight student-athletes making the squad.
Dominican University New York had two players named to the team. Bryan O'Loughlin (Nanuet, N.Y.) was named to the team for the fourth-time, while Brian Barker (Wyckoff, N.J.) makes his second appearance on the team.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Four of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Thirteen (13) of the honorees made the CACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team for the second time.
♦ Five of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
♦ O'Donnell and Dominican University's Bryan O'Loughlin made the All-Academic team for the fourth time.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
