Boca Raton, Fla. (3/1/23) The Dominican University New York men's lacrosse team fell in non-conference action to the Fighting Knights of Lynn University. 

The Chargers fall to 0-3 overall on the season and the Fighting Knights improve to 3-2.

William Gordon (Amityville, N.Y.) recorded three points in the loss including two goals and added one assist. Gordon also added a team-high four shots. 

Zachary Souza (Stratford, Conn.) and Sean Cosgrove (Warwick, N.Y.) each added one goal. Souza also recorded one assist. Kyle Benedetto (Wantagh, N.Y.) and Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) each added one assist.

Goalkeepers Gerardo Caltagirone (Tappan, N.Y.) and Steffen Peabody (Brookhaven, N.Y.) combined for 10 saves. Peabody recorded seven saves while Caltagirone recorded three saves.

Patrick Roderka (Warwick, N.Y.) finished with a team-high 11 ground balls and added 11 faceoff victories. 

Lynn University was led by Joseph Michalski who finished with five goals on six shots. Dylan Colon added two goals and a team-high four assists. 

The Chargers will look to bounce back this Saturday when they travel to Florida Southern College. Faceoff is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
