Bio

Coach Sandoval was hired in July of 2014 as the seventh head coach in program history.

Sandoval, who has over 17 years of coaching experience, comes to Dominican from Kings Park High School where he has spent that past four years as the head varsity boys lacrosse coach.  In 2013 he reached the 100 career win plateau as a head coach.

Prior to that he served one season as an assistant middle school football coach at J. Taylor Finley Middle School and was the head junior varsity football coach at Cold Spring Harbor High School in 2009-2010.

From 2004-2009, Sandoval served as both the varsity boys lacrosse and basketball coach at Portledge School in Locust Valley, N.Y. and become the junior varsity boys soccer coach in 2007-2009.  He also served as an assistant athletic director and facilities coordinator from 2007-2009.

In 2008, Sandoval was the head coach for the East Team US Lacrosse Senior Showcase and was the president of the New York Metropolitan Lacrosse Coaches Association from 2005-2009.

He started the boys lacrosse program at the Wheatley School back in 2002 and spent three years at the helm.  Other stints include the head coach at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, assistant coach at John F. Kennedy High School and junior varsity head coach at Sweanhaka High School. 

Sandoval also currently serves as the Long Island Pride Lacrosse Club Director and is a three-time assistant coach of the Long Island Gold Medal Lacrosse Team (2001, 2002 and 2006).
