Orangeburg, NY (9/17/11) The Dominican College men's soccer team was upended by the visiting Tigers of Holy Family University, 3-2, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the DC Soccer Field. With the loss DC falls to 1-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the CACC, while Holy Family University improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Orangeburg, NY (9/17/11)  The Dominican College men's soccer team was upended by the visiting Tigers of Holy Family University, 3-2, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the DC Soccer Field.  With the loss DC falls to 1-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the CACC, while Holy Family University improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

The Tigers struck first with a goal at the 7:20 mark in the first half for an early 1-0 lead.  Dominican tied the contest in the 38th minute when sophomore forward Jorge Zubillaga (Uruguay) scored his first goal of the season off the pass from senior Alan Heavey (Huntington Station, NY) to make the score 1-1.

An own goal at 42:51 regained a 2-1 advantage for Holy Family University, but junior Sony Narro (Stamford, CT) took a shot that was blocked and came right back to him which let him put a second shot into the net at 59:08 to re-tie the score at 2-2.

The game winning goal came in the 63rd minute of action for the Tigers for the 3-2 victory.

Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to CACC foe, Felician College, for a 3pm game.
