CHARGERS SOCCER TOP LE MOYNE COLLEGE
Syracuse, NY (10/12/11) The Dominican College men's soccer team netted two goals in the second half to defeat host, Le Moyne College, 2-0 this afternoon in a non-conference soccer game. With the win Dominican improves to 5-4-3 overall while Le Moyne falls to 7-5-1 on the season.

In the first half, Christopher Walsh (Baldwin, NY) had the best scoring opportunity for Dominican when his shot hit the cross bar in the 22nd minute. Early in the second half, keeper Brandon Heembrock* (Ottawa, Canada) made a nice save on a Dolpin shot.
Sophomore forward Jorge Zubillaga (Uruguay) netted both of the game's goals. The first came in the 84th minute of action on a penalty kick that found the left side of the net.
Five and a half minutes later, Zubillaga struck again with an empty net goal off the pass from freshman midfielder Walsh for the final 2-0 score.
Heembrock made seven saves in the contest, including six saves in the first half.
The Dolphins had the advantage in both shots and corner kicks, outshooting the Chargers 16-9 and six corner kicks to three.
Dominican returns to action on Saturday when they host Caldwell College in a 2:30pm Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to be played on the DC Soccer Field.
