(10/16/12) The Dominican College men's soccer team downed the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 2-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the DC Soccer Field. With the win, Dominican improves to 8-3-1 overall and 6-2 in conference play.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/16/12)  The Dominican College men's soccer team downed the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 2-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the DC Soccer Field.  With the win, Dominican improves to 8-3-1 overall and 6-2 in conference play.

The Chargers netted both of their goals in the first half of action as junior forward Jorge Zubillaga (Punta del Este, Uruguay) netted his fourth goal on the year on a shot from 10 yards out in the 23rd minute of play for the 1-0 lead.

Just 1:24 later, midfielder Sony Narro (Stamford, Conn.) scored his team leading seventh goal of the season on a shot from 15 yards out to give DC a 2-0 lead.

Dominican outshot Nyack, 9-5, while the Warriors held a slight 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Charger keeper Andres Ruiz (Medellin, Colombia) had one save in the net.

DC is back in action on Saturday as they host Chestnut Hill College in a conference game at the DC Soccer Field.  Game time is 10:30 am.
