MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS FELICIAN COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/16/14) The Dominican College men's soccer team scored the game-winning goal with 9:21 seconds left in regulation to lift them to a 2-1 victory over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Felician College, in a game played this afternoon at the DC Soccer Field.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/16/14) The Dominican College men's soccer team scored the game-winning goal with 9:21 seconds left in regulation to lift them to a 2-1 victory over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Felician College, in a game played this afternoon at the DC Soccer Field.

Sophomore midfielder Calogero Curcuru (Middle Village, N.Y.) netted the game-winner on a shot from six yards out after the pass from Panagiotis Kanganis (Patras, Greece).

The game was scoreless until the 58th minute when midfielder Andres Colombo (Goteborg, Sweden) scored his first goal of the season on a shot that blew by the diving Golden Falcon keeper. FC tied the score in the 68th minute to make the score 1-1.

Dominican (2-2, 1-1 CACC) had the edge in shots, 11-5 and in corner kicks, 8-1.

Luis DelPezo (Portchester, N.Y.) had a team leading three shots in the game.

Keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made one save in the victory.
