Concordia took the 1-0 lead in the 24th minute of action, but the Chargers equalized the score at the 37:39 mark as midfielder Lukas Nordin (Lidkoping, Sweden) netted his first goal of the season on a shot from inside the 18 yard box after the free kick assist from Manuel Valencia (New Rochelle, N.Y.)
DC's best shot at the game-winner came on a breakaway opportunity for Ghrelle Francis (La Brea, Trinidad and Tobago), whose shot hit the post late in the game. The Clippers had a shot sail just over the crossbar with five minutes remaining in the second overtime.
The Chargers out shot the Clippers, 16-11, while both teams had seven corner kicks.
DC keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made four saves.
The team will travel to Georgian Court University this coming Saturday.
