Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. (9/1/18) The Mercy College men's soccer team scored four times in the second half to lead the Mavericks to a 4-0 victory over the visiting Chargers of Dominican College in a game played on Mercy Field.
The first half saw a total of five shots (3-2 edge to the Mavericks), while junior keeper Tyler Doll (St. Louis, Mo.) made two saves in the half.
Twenty minutes into the second half is when Mercy broke the tie with a goal in the 62nd minute and just about a minute later the Mavericks took a 2-0 advantage. MC would net two more goals for the 4-0 win and improve to 2-0 on the season.
Following the loss, Dominican is now 0-1 on the season.
Dominican had five different players record a shot and Doll tallied six saves.
The Chargers will travel to non-conference opponent, the College of Saint Rose, on Tuesday for a 6pm start.
