Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/30/19) The Dominican College men's soccer team earns their second straight win after defeating the Clippers of Concordia College by a score of 4-2.
The Chargers improve to 7-9 (5-5 CACC) after the win and the Clippers fall to 7-7 (6-5 CACC) after the loss.
Maximino Casares Martinez (Ciudad De Panama, Panama) led the way with seven shots, two goals, and two assists for the Chargers. Jhosep Tovar (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) scored a goal and added an assist. Jean Paul Lyons (Toronto, Ontario) scored a goal for DC. Ewan Gray (Middlesbrough, England) recorded one assist.
Alessandro Battaglia scored a goal for the Clippers which tied the game early in the first half. Battaglia added his second goal of the game to cut the deficit to 4-2 but the Chargers closed out the victory. Johan Felischer added one assist for the Clippers.
Tyler Doll (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded two saves and recorded the win for the Chargers. Mikael Varin started in net for the Clippers and made three saves.
The Chargers will host Holy Family University on Sunday, November 3rd for their final home game of the season and will celebrate Senior Day. The game is scheduled for 2:30 PM at Albertus Magnus High School.
