Bardonia, N.Y. (11/3/19) The Dominican College men's soccer team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to the visiting Tigers of Holy Family University, 3-1 this afternoon.
Today was Senior Day for the Chargers as they honored seniors: #3 Felix Benitez and #19 Jose Mendez.
Holy Family scored two goals in the 14th minute and the 36th minute for a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half and took a 3-0 lead in the 54th minute of action.
Dominican (7-10, 5-6 CACC) got on the board at the 62:54 mark as sophomore Maximino Casares Martinez (Ciudad De Panama, Panama) headed the ball into the goal, following the pass from Marco Oliveri (Whitestone, N.Y.) to make the score 3-1.
Keeper Tyler Doll (St. Louis, Mo.) made three saves in the Charger net.
The Chargers will close out regular season play this coming Tuesday night as they travel to Bloomfield College.
