CHARGERS TRACK AND FIELD TEAM TAKE PART IN MARK YOUNG INVITATIONAL
New Haven, Conn. (4/8/18) The Dominican College men's track and field team traveled to the Mark Young Invitational held yesterday at the Dewitt Cuyler Athletic Complex and hosted by Yale University.

Seth Wilson (Monroe, N.Y.) took third place overall in the 100m dash with a time of 11.15. Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 13th place with a time of 11.59 and Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) ran a time of 12.07 to finish in 19th place.
In the 200m dash, junior Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.) ran a time of 22.45 to finish in third place and Roadarmel finished in 33rd place with a time of 25.31.
Merced took sixth place in the 400m dash with a time of 51.67. Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) ran a time of 53.75 to finish in 12th place, while Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 15th place with a time of 55.25.
The 1500m run saw senior Jovan Zigic (Burnaby, British Columbia) take 13th place with a time of 4:11.65. Sophomore David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) took 38th place with a time of 5:47.60.
Rookie Ryan McKivergan (New City, N.Y.) ran in the 400m hurdle event where he took 15th place with a time of 1:04.02.
Freshman Cameron Whitton competed in the 800m run and finished in 27th place with a time of 2:14.02.
The 4x100m relay team of Wilson, Pierre, Roadarmel and Savonn Maye (Springfield, N.J.) finished in 4th place with a time of 44.99.
The team of Florvil, Cruz, Whitton and McKivergan took sixth place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:37.85.
Maye took sixth place overall in the long jump with a jump of 6.12m (20 feet, 1 inch), while teammate Justin Estevez (Nanuet, N.Y.) finished in eighth place with a jump of 6.00m (19 feet, 8.25 inches).
Estevez competed in the triple jump where he finished in seventh place with a jump of 12.11m (39 feet, 8.75 inches).
Sophomore George Psarakis (Monroe, N.Y.) took part in the discus throw where he finished in 10th place with a throw of 29.00m (95 feet, 2 inches).
