ZIGIC NAMED TO 2018 GOOGLE CLOUD ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA® DIVISION II MEN'S TRACK & FIELD/CROSS COUNTRY SECOND TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (6/20/18) Dominican's Jovan Zigic (Burnaby, British Columbia) has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) today.

This is Zigic's first Alll-America® honors.
The senior was previously named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's Track/Cross Country Team which qualified him to move on as a candidate for All-America® accolades. He maintained a grade-point average of 4.00 in Mathematics, while being a member of the cross country and track programs. This season he won the 1000m run at the DeSchriver Invitational and the 800m run at the Vassar Invite. Zigic finished 10th at the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Cross Country Championship to earn All-CACC accolades and was the recipient of the DC Men's Cross Country Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award.
Off the field, he was named the Dominican College Top Senior Male-Scholar Athlete and was inducted into the Dominican College New York Sigma Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, along with being named to the CACC All-Academic Teams in both cross country and track and field.
