PIERRETTE TAKE SECOND PLACE AT ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE SPRING OPENER

Patchogue, N.Y. (3/24/19) Freshman Lowell Pierrette (Elmsford, N.Y.) took second place in both the 110m hurdles and the long jump event at the St. Joseph College Spring Opener held yesterday.
Pierrette ran the 110m hurdles in a time of 16.74 and had a jump of 6.31m (20 feet, 8.5 inches) to take second place in both events.
In the 100m dash, senior Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in third place with a time of 11.32. Brandon Adams (Highland Mills, N.Y.) ran a time of 11.68 to finish in fourth place, while Pierrette took sixth place with a time of 11.83. Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) finished in 11th place with a time of 12.29.
The 200m dash saw Pierre take sixth place with a time of 24.17, while Adams finished in eight place with a time of 24.27. Pierrette took 14th place with a time of 24.97 and Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 15th place with a time of 25.27. Junior Justin Estevez (Nanuet, N.Y.) ran a time of 25.61 to finish in 18th place and Roadarmel took 25th place with a time of 26.62.
Estevez had the high finish of fourth place in the 400m dash with a time of 55.91. Florvils took fifth place after running a time of 56.10 and Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) finished in seventh place with a time of 56.13. Cameron Whitton (Monrore, N.Y.) finished in 12th place with a time of 59.51.
The Chargers are slated to compete at the Monmouth Outdoor Season Opener next weekend.
