MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD HEAD TO MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY WINTER COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL

West Long Branch, N.J. (2/12/22) Member of the Dominican College men's track and field team competed at the Monmouth University Winter Collegiate Invitational held yesterday and today.

Lowell Pierrette (Elmsford, N.Y.) had the high finish of fourth place of fourth place in the 200m dash with a time of 23.31. Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) took fifth place with a time of 23.39. Sophomore Brandon Adams (Highland Mills, N.Y.) delivered a time of 24.09 to take 16th place, while Ezra Evans (Greensboro, N.C.) finished in 17th place with a time of 24.10. Dariel Suarez (North Bergen, N.J.) took 26th place with a time of 24.63 and Olatunji Adewole (North Plainfield, N.J.) ran a time of 24.95 to finish in 34th place.

The high jump event saw Adams take sixth place with a jump of 1.90m (6' 2.75").

In the triple jump event held on Friday night, sophomore Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) finished in seventh place with a jump of 13.56m (44' 6").

Evans took 11th place in the long jump event with a jump of 6.23m (20' 5.25"), while Lauredent finished in 13th place with a jump of 6.21m (20' 4.5") and Pierrette had a jump of 6.09m (19' 11.75") to finish in 18th place.

In the 60m preliminaries, Pierrette finished in 12th place with a time of 7.23, while Adams took 20th place with a time of 7.33. The 60m qualifying races saw Evans finish in 16th place with a time of 7.43 and Lauredent take 39th place with a time of 7.79.

Thompson took 14th place in the 400m event with a time of 53.81. Adewole finished in 20th place with a time of 56.06 and Suarez took 23rd place with a time of 56.39.

In the mile run, Daniel Pinilla (Blauvelt, N.Y.) finished in 43rd place with a time of 5:31.50. He also competed in the 800m where he took 47th place with a time of 2:22.78.

The shot put event had sophomore Louis Rodriguez (Monsey, N.Y.) finish in 31st place with a throw of 10.05m (32' 11.75") and Lawrence Ribiero (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) take 39th place with a throw of 8.37m (27' 5.5"). Vincent Faison (Chester, N.Y.) took 41st place with a throw of 7.84m (25' 8.75").
