TRACK AND FIELD SQUADS ATTEND WEST POINT TUNE UP MEET

West Point, N.Y. (2/18/23) Members of the Dominican University New York men's and women's track and field teams attended the West Point Tune Up Meet held on Saturday at the Army-Gillis Field House.

WOMEN'S RESULTS

Freshman Julia Dunne (Babylon, N.Y.) was the high finisher for the Lady Chargers as she took eighth place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:09.33.
Stacy Eliezer (New City, N.Y.) took 10th place in the shot put with a throw of 9.01m (29' 6.75").
In the 800m and one mile run, Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.), took 13th place in both events with times of 2:39.79. and 6:15.86.
The 200m dash saw Jayda Jones (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) finish in 14th place with a time of 29.17 and Dunne take 19th place with a time of 29.55.
Jones also competed in the 60m dash preliminaries where she took 18th place with a time of 8.57, while Krystal Parris (Toronto, Canada) finished in 25th place with a time of 9.00.

MEN'S RESULTS

Junior Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) had the finish of second place in the triple jump with a jump of 13.46m (44' 2"). Jeffrey Li Rivera (Suffern, N.Y.) took eighth place with a jump of 11.95m (39' 2.5").
Adam Lenn (Thiells, N.Y.) competed in the shot put event and took eight place with a throw of 13.15m (43' 1.75").
The 4x400m relay team of Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.), Steven Smith (Yonkers, N.Y.), Li Rivera and Olatunji Adewole (North Plainfield, N.J.) took fifth place with a time of 3:46.78. The team of Aidan Nelson (Tappan, N.Y.), Chase Freed (Queensbury, N.Y.), Daniel Pinilla (Blauvelt, N.Y.) and Prince Copeland (Haverstraw, N.Y.) finished in eighth place with a time of 4:05.12.
Adewole took ninth in the 400m dash with a time of 53.40, while Samuel Fileen (Monroe, N.Y.) finished in 18th place with a time of 55.70 and Smith ran a time of 56.71 to finish in 20th place.
In the 200m dash, Adewole finished in ninth place with a time of 23.62. Thompson took 12th place with a time of 23.76, while Fileen finished in 32nd place with a time of 24.97. Lauredent ran a time of 25.03 to finish in 33rd place with Smith taking 41st place with a time of 25.48 and Aidan Mallon (Bohemia, N.Y.) took 45th place with a time of 26.01.
Lauredent also took part in the long jump and took 12th place with a jump of 5.91m (19' 4.75").
The 60m dash preliminaries saw Thompson take 18th place with a time of 7.33 and Mallon finished in 35th place with a time of 7.67.
In the one mile run, Nelson finished in 19th place with a time of 4:53.56. Pinilla took 29th place with a time of 5:25.19, while Freed ran a time of 5:38.19 to finish in 33rd place.
Copeland also ran in the 800m event where he finished in 24th place with a time of 2:11.80.
