MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TAKE PART IN CACC TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Lakewood, N.J. (5/7/23) The Dominican University New York men's track and field team took 10th place at the 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Track and Field Championships held yesterday and today at the Georgian Court University Track and Field Complex.

SATURDAY, MAY 6TH RESULTS

  • Lawrence Ribeiro (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) had the high finish on day one for the Chargers in the hammer throw event with a throw of 32.59m.
  • In the 200m dash trials, Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) took 10th place with a time of 22.27, while Olatunji Adewole (North Plainfield, N.J.) placed 12th with a time of 22.47.
  • Adewole also took 10th place in the 400m dash trials with a time of 50.37.
  • The 110m hurdle trials saw Jeffrey Li Rivera (Suffern, N.Y.) finish in 10th place with a time of 16.54.
  • Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) competed in the long jump and took 11th place with a jump of 6.29m.

SUNDAY, MAY 7TH RESULTS

  • In the triple jump event, Lauredent took fourth place with a jump of 14.04m (46' 0.75").
  • Thompson, Samuel Fileen (Monroe, N.Y.), Steven Smith (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Adewole finished in fifth place in the 4x400m relay event 3:27.30.
  • The 4x100m relay team of Aidan Mallon (Bohemia, N.Y.), Dariel Suarez (North Bergen, N.J.), Lauredant and Adewole took seventh place with a time of 43.78.
  • Freshman Aidan Nelson (Tappan, N.Y.) competed in the 5000m run where he took 17th place with a time of 18:35.35.
