Purchase, N.Y. (9/9/17) The Dominican College men's cross country team won the SUNY Purchase Invitational held this morning. The team finished with a team score of 52 to bring home the team title.

Senior Jovan Zigic (Burnaby, Bristish Columbia) took second place overall in the 8K race with a time of 27.50.2, averaging 5:36.0 per mile.
Oscar Vidal (New City, N.Y.) averaged 5:45.9 per mile to finish with a time of 28:39.6 and a sixth place finish.
Junior Darren Guzman (Teaneck, N.J.) finished in 11th place with a time of 29:38.6 (5:57.8 per mile).
Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) and Connor Croke (Watertown, Conn.) finished in 15th and 18th place respectively with times of 30:01.1 and 30:13.7.
Freshman Nicholas Beutel (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) ran a time of 30:49.0 to take 24th place overall and Ryan McKivergan (New City, N.Y.) finished in 39th place with a time of 32:18.0.
Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) had a time of 33:29.6 to claim 56th place, with David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) finishing in 77th place with a time of 35:32.2.
Dominican will travel to the Queensborough XC Invitational on Sunday, September 17th.
