CHARGERS TRAVEL TO PHILLY METRO CHAMPIONSHIP

Philadelphia, Pa. (9/7/19) The Dominican College men's cross country team took part in the 41st Annual Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship, hosted by the Jefferson Rams and the Belmont Plateau Cross-Country Hall of Fame on Saturday morning at Belmont Plateau.

Philadelphia, Pa. (9/7/19) The Dominican College men's cross country team took part in the 41st Annual Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship, hosted by the Jefferson Rams and the Belmont Plateau Cross-Country Hall of Fame on Saturday morning at Belmont Plateau.

The team finished 12th out of 13 teams.

Junior Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Chargers as he took 43rd place in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 32:35.3.

Ocar Vidal (New City, N.Y.) took 48th place after completing the course in a time of 33:24.0 and David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) had a time of 36:09.4 to finish in 63rd place.

Senior Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) was just a few steps behind as he finished in 65th place with a time of 36:48.2

Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) rounded out the team scoring with a 74th place finish in a time of 41:46.6.

The Chargers are scheduled to travel to the NYIT Invitational next Saturday.
