DOMINICAN'S BECK NAMED TO 2009 DAKTRONICS ALL-AMERICAN SOFTBALL SECOND TEAM
Orangeburg, NY (5/21/09) Dominican College softball player, Sarah Beck, has been named to the 2009 Daktronics All-American Softball Second Team as was announced today.
Orangeburg, NY (5/21/09) Dominican College softball player, Sarah Beck, has been named to the 2009 Daktronics All-American Softball Second Team as was announced today.
Beck, a senior outfielder from Milton, NY, led the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with a .407 batting average, runs scored (49), hits (77), total bases (123), RBIs 959), is fifth in the CACC with 17 doubles and is second with nine home runs. Shewas named the CACC Player of the Year, named to the All-CACC First Team, the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Region First Team and the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II East All-Region First Team. She was also named the Dominican College Most Valuable Player for the third time in her career.
In 2008 she was also named to the All-CACC First Team, the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Region First Team and was the Dominican College Co-Most Valuable Player Award winner. In her rookie year (2006), Beck was named the CACC Rookie of the Year, All-CACC First Team, CACC All-Tournament Team and the Dominican College Most Valuable Player. Beck has also been a team captain for the last two years.
