LADY CHARGERS SPLIT WITH ASSUMPTION COLLEGE
Clermont, Fla. (3/8/13) The Dominican College softball squad wrapped up their trip to Florida with a non-conference double-header split with Assumption College in games played at the National Training Center today. DC took game on, 2-0 and fell in game two 4-2 to now stand at 3-9 on the season.

Game One: The game was scoreless until the third inning when the Lady Chargers struck for two runs on a two run blast from senior shortstop Julie Plante* (Swansea, Mass.).
Delaney Childers (Johnstown, Ohio) pitched the complete game win, striking out five and alowing only one hit.
Game Two: DC took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single off the bat of Ashley Corrao (Staten Island, N.Y.) and a bases loaded walk to Kathryn Coles* (Farmville, Va.).
The Greyhounds came back with four runs in the sixth inning for the 6-2 victory.
Kimberly Ragazzo (Lawrence, N.J.) suffered the loss, allowing four runs on eight hits and five strikeouts.
