Brookville, N.Y. (3/23/14) The Dominican College softball team lost a non-conference double-header to host, LIU Post University, this afternoon in games played at the Softball Complex.
With the losses, the Lady Chargers are now 2-10 on the season.
Game One: The Pioneers did all of their scoring in the first three innings in the 14-0 five inning victory.
Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) and Kimberly Ragazzo (Lawrenceville, N.J.) had the two hits for Dominican in the loss.
Emily Larsen (Midlothian, Ill.) took the loss (0-4) in two innings of work, allowing 12 runs on 11 hits.
Game Two: LIU Post scored a run in the second inning, but exploded for five runs in the fifth inning and added three more in the sixth for the 9-0 six inning win.
Elizabeth Hogan (San Jose, Calif.) suffered the loss (1-3) in 5 2/3 innings of work, allowing nine runs (two earned) on eight hits.
Shannon Haukap* (Edmonds, Wash.) had two hits in the loss.
