LADY CHARGERS DROP TWO TO MOLLOY COLLEGE
Rockville Centre, N.Y. (4/6/14) Te Dominican College softball team dropped two non-conference games to host, Molloy College, in games played this afternoon at Bob Klein Field. The Lions took game on 13-5 in five innings and rallied to win the night cap, 6-4.

Rockville Centre, N.Y. (4/6/14) Te Dominican College softball team dropped two non-conference games to host, Molloy College, in games played this afternoon at Bob Klein Field. The Lions took game on 13-5 in five innings and rallied to win the night cap, 6-4.
Game One: Molloy scored four runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back enroute to the 13-5 five inning victory. The Lady Chargers got on the board in the third inning on the RBI single to right field from senior Paige Berzak* (Cypress, Calif.).
DC added four more runs in the fourth as Elontay Collins (San Diego, Calif.) brought home a run with an infield single and Shannon Haukap (Edmonds, Wash.) reached on an error wiched on an error which allowed another run to score. Kimberly Ragazzo* (Lawrence, N.J.) singled to center field to bring home Collins and Berzak followed with her second RBI of the game on the single to right field to gain a 5-4 advantage. Molloy answered back with a nine run bottom of the fourth for the 13-5 win.
Ragazzo took the loss (3-5) in three innings of work, allowing nine runs on 13 hits. Emily Larsen (Midlothian, Ill.) pitched one inning and allowed four runs on four hits.
Game Two: Dominican hit two two-run home runs in the top of the first inning of the bats of Elizabeth Hogan (San Jose, Calif.) and Shannon Truppi (Little Ferry, N.J.) for the early 4-0 lead.
Molloy came back with three runs in the third to cut the lead to 4-3 and tied the score in the seventh on an error. The game winning hit came with two outs on a two run home run over the center field fence for the 6-4 win.
Hogan took the loss (2-6) in 6 2/3 innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on eight hits.
