Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/11/14) The Philadelphia University Rams hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to rally and defeat host, Dominican College, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) softball game played at the DC Softball Field.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/11/14) The Philadelphia University Rams hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to rally and defeat host, Dominican College, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) softball game played at the DC Softball Field.
Game two was not played due to transportation problems and will be re-scheduled for a later date.
Dominican struck first with a run in the bottom of the third inning on the RBI double to left center off the bat of catcher Shannon Haukap* (Edmonds, Wash.).
In the sixth inning a two-out two run home run put the Rams ahead 2-1 and the team added a run in the seventh for the 3-1 victory.
Haukap went 2-3 in the loss.
Starter Elizabeth Hogan (San Jose, Calif.) took the loss (3-7) in 6 1/3 innings of work, allowing tree runs on six hits and four strikeouts.
