Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/22/14) The Caldwell College softball team, currently ranked second in the East Region, downed the Dominican College Softball team, 11-2 and 9-0 in five innings in two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games played today at the DC Softball Field.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/22/14) The Caldwell College softball team, currently ranked second in the East Region, downed the Dominican College Softball team, 11-2 and 9-0 in five innings in two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games played today at the DC Softball Field.
Game One: Caldwell scored a run in the top of the second inning, but DC rallied with two runs in the bottom stanza on a two run single up-the-middle off the bat of left fielder Jacqueline Gonzalez (San Antonio, Texas) to go ahead 2-1.
Caldwell regained the lead with two runs in the fourth inning, scored four more in both the five and seventh innings en route to teh 11-2 victory.
Elizabeth Hogan (San Jose, Calif.) took the complete game loss to fall to 5-9 on the season.
Game Two: Caldwell scored runs in the third, fourth and fifth stanzas en route to the 9-0 five inning victory, limiting the Lady Chargers to just one hit.
The hit came in the fifth inning from Brianna Arends (Raritan, N.J.).
Kimberly Ragazzo (Lawrenceville, N.J.) suffered the loss (6-7) allowing nine runs (four earned) on 13 hits.
Dominican is scheduled to play Philadelphia University tomorrow at 3pm at the DC Softball Field.
