Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/1/18) The Dominican College softball team ended the regular season with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header sweep by the Cougars of Caldwell University in games played this afternoon.

Caldwell won the first game, 7-2 and took the finale, 10-0 in five innings.

Game One:  The Cougars scored a run in the first inning and added six more in the fourth frame for the 7-0 advantage.  Dominican scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on the two-run single to center fied off the bat of catcher Alyssa Schwalb (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) for the final 7-2 score.

Game Two:  In game two, the Cougars scored runs in the first four innings en route to the 10-0 five inning victory.

Shelby Smith (Valley Center, Calif) took the loss.

Dominican ends the regular season with an overall record of 22-18 and a CACC record of 16-10.
