SOFTBALL SPLITS ON DAY TWO AT THE SPRING GAMES
Clermont, Fla. (3/10/19) The Dominican College softball team split on day two of THE Spring Games with a 8-0 five inning victory over Southern Connecticut State University and a 6-3 loss to Lewis University.

Clermont, Fla. (3/10/19) The Dominican College softball team split on day two of THE Spring Games with a 8-0 five inning victory over Southern Connecticut State University and a 6-3 loss to Lewis University.
Game One: The Lady Charger offense produced eight runs on 11 hits in the 8-0 five inning victory.
Junior Alyssa Siess (Queens, N.Y.) went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and one run scored and Kristin Miscia (Basking Ridge, N.J.) had two RBIs and two runs scored.
A five-run bottom of the fifth inning secured the win as Miscia got things going with a two run single. Siess brought her home with an RBI hit and pinch hitter Madison Newman (Phelan, Calif.) allowed Siess to score on a single. Center fielder Rajene Bowe (Ellendale, Del.) delivered a single through the left side to score the game-ending run.
Freshman Madeline Uschock (Greensburg, Pa.) improved to 1-1 on the year with the complete game victory, scattering four hits and four strikeouts.
Game Two: DC trailed 6-0 going into their final at-bat when they scored three runs.
Designated player Andrea Hester (Yorba Linda, Calif.) blasted a three-run home run over the left field fence.
Shelby Smith (Valley Center, Calif.) suffered the loss in two and 1/3 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits.
With the split, Dominican is now 1-3 on the season.
