Clermont, Fla. (3/11/20) The Dominican College softball split a non-conference double-header with the Stonehill College Skyhawks this afternoon in games played at The Spring Games.

The Skyhawk defeated DC 10-3 in game one and then the Lady Chargers bounced back in game two with a 7-0 win. 

Game One:  Katherine Rayner earned the win for the Skyhawks to improve her record to 4-1 on the season. Courtney Brochu recorded three hits and drove in three runs in the win. 

Michelle Theilgard recorded two hits including a homer, three RBI's and scored three runs. Maille Bennett recorded two hits.

For DC, Bailey Bell (Washington, Pa.) recorded one hit and one RBI. Andrea Hester (Yorba Linda, Calif.) ripped a homer, scored two runs and recorded one RBI. Rajene Bowe (Ellendale, Del.) scored one run and added one hit. Alexandria Ledgerwood (Salem, Ore.) recorded two hits and drove in one RBI. 

Game Two: Journey Limardo (Anaheim, Calif.) earned the shutout win for DC by throwing a complete game and surrendered four hits to improve to 2-0 on the season. 

The game was scoreless through the first three innings. DC rallied in the bottom of the fourth inning to blow the game open with six runs in the inning. DC followed up their big fourth inning with one run in the fifith inning to extend their lead to 7-0 which would be the final score. 

Bailey Bell recorded three hits in the win including a double and scored one run. Rajene Bowe recorded two hits and scored one run. Alyssa Seiss (Queens, N.Y.) homered which started the rally in the fourth inning for DC. Alyssa Schwalb (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) drove in two RBI's.
