SOFTBALL COMPLETES A SWEEP OVER CONFERENCE OPPONENT CONCORDIA COLLEGE
Bronxville, N.Y. (4/8/21) The Dominican College softball team swept the Clippers of Concordia College two games to improve their record to 11-9 (10-2 CACC) on the season.

Bronxville, N.Y. (4/8/21) The Dominican College softball team swept the Clippers of Concordia College two games to improve their record to 11-9 (10-2 CACC) on the season.
DC opened the doubleheader with a 10-0 win in game one and followed up with an 11-3 win in game two.
Game One: The Lady Chargers recorded 13 hits as a team in the opening game.
Shelby Smith (Valley Center, Calif.) earned the shutout win to improve to 4-3 on the season.
Madison Newman (Phelan, Calif.) recorded three hits, two RBIs, and scored one run. Haylee Redmond Ridge (Bellflower, Calif.) and Kristin Miscia (Basking Ridge, N.J.) each recorded two hits in the win. Miscia added a double, a triple, and one RBI. Haylee Redmond Ridge added one RBI.
Andrea Hester (Yorba Linda, Calif.) added a double which drove in three RBIs.
DC started the scoring in the first inning with one run for the 1-0 lead. The Lady Chargers extended their lead in the fifth and sixth innings.
DC blew the game open in the seventh inning with seven runs to extend their lead to 10-0 on their way to the victory.
Game Two: DC followed up their win in game one with an 11-3 win in game two to complete the sweep.
The Lady Chargers used a big first inning for an early 5-0 lead. The Clippers added one run in the bottom of the first inning, but DC extended their lead to 7-1 in the second inning.
DC added one more run in the third inning and then three runs in the seventh inning. The Clippers scored one run in the second inning and one run in the fifth inning.
Journey Limardo (Anaheim, Calif.) recorded the win to extend her record to 6-2 on the season.
Haylee Redmond Ridge led the way with four hits and four RBIs in the win. Rajene Bowe (Ellendale, Del.) and Alyssa Siess (Queens, N.Y.) also recorded four hits.
Rebecca Haggerty (Grafton, Mass.) added two hits and two RBIs. Alyssa Schwalb (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), Alyssa Siess, Madison Walker (Southampton, N.J.), and Kristin Miscia all added one RBI.
The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday, April 10th when they travel to Wilmington University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader. Game one is scheduled for 12:00 PM and game two will follow at 2:00 PM.
