SOFTBALL FALLS TO BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE IN THE 2021 CACC QUARTERFINALS

The Lady Chargers fall to 21-14 (20-6 CACC).
Rajene Bowe (Ellendale, Del.) and Kristin Miscia (Basking Ridge, N.J.) led DC with two hits each. Miscia added a double and two RBIs while Bowe added a triple.
Alyssa Siess (Queens, N.Y.) and Shannon Knipl (Stony Point, N.Y.) each added a double. Siess drove in one RBI. Alyssa Schwalb (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) drove in one RBI.
Both teams scored two runs each in the first inning. Down 2-0, the Lady Chargers scratched across two runs to tie when Bowe scored on a passed ball and Miscia stole home.
The Bears added one run in the second inning and fourth inning to extend to a 4-2 lead over DC.
The Lady Chargers used a five-run inning in the fifth to come from behind to take the lead. Miscia's two-RBI double-tied the game. Siess doubled to give DC the lead and Schwalb singled to extend the lead.
The Bears answered back with a five-run inning in the top of the sixth inning to take the 9-7 lead. Mya Lopez and Delanie Cruz drove in two runs each in the inning. Jordan Pollak added one RBI in the inning.
Danielle Walters completed the game on the mound for the Bears to help secure the 9-7 win and improve her record to 7-5.
The DC softball team is currently waiting to hear if they receive an at-large bid to play in the regional tournament.
