SOFTBALL WINS GAME ONE AGAINST COUGARS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/13/22) The Dominican College softball team split a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header with the visiting Cougars of Caldwell University this afternoon in games played at the South Orangetown Little League Field.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/13/22) The Dominican College softball team split a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header with the visiting Cougars of Caldwell University this afternoon in games played at the South Orangetown Little League Field.
Dominican won the first game, 2-0, while the Cougars went home with the 3-0 victory in the nightcap.
With the split, the Lady Chargers are now 8-14 overall and 4-6 in conference play.
Game One: The game was scoreless until the third inning when centerfielder Kristin Miscia (Basking Ridge, N.J.) blasted a two-run home run for the lead and eventual win.
Journey Limardo (Anaheim, Calif.) picked up the complete game victory (2-3).
Game Two: Caldwell got on the scoreboard with a two-run double in the top of the third for the lead and added to it in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly ball for the 3-0 win.
Reliever Samantha Carbonara (Newark, Del.) collected four strikeouts in six innings of work.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Monday when they travel to non-conference foe, Molloy College.
