HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY DEFEAT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Orangeburg, NY (2/18/12) The Holy Family University women's basketball team defeated host, Dominican College, 77-62, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. Following the loss Dominican now stands at 12-13 overall and 11-7 in the conference, while Holy Family improves to 20-7 and 16-2 in the CACC.

Following the loss Dominican now stands at 12-13 overall and 11-7 in the conference, while Holy Family improves to 20-7 and 16-2 in the CACC.
Holy Family held a slim 14-13 advantage with 14:10 remaining in the first stanza when the Tigers went on a 12-3 run to go ahead 26-16 and increased the lead to 45-31 at the intermission.
The Tigers held a double-digit lead the rest of the contest and led by as many as 21 points (65-44) with 10:20 to play. The Lady Chargers cut the deficit to 10 points (69-59) with 4:16 on the clock, but the Tigers closed out the game with an 8-3 run fo rthe 77-62 victory.
Forward Bianca Harris (Teaneck, NJ) led two Lady Chargers in double figures with 11 points. KC Jentzen (Pearl River, NY) came off the bench to score 10 points and seven rebounds, while Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, NJ) finished with nine points and a team leading six assists.
DC finishes up the regular season on Tuesday evening when they host Felician College in a CACC contest scheduled for 6pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
