LADY CHARGERS END LOSING STREAK WITH OVERTIME VICTORY
Bloomfield, N.J. (1/14/14) The Dominican College women's basketball team ended a six-game losing streak tonight after defeating the Bloomfield College Deacons, 76-67 in overtime in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division clash held at the Bloomfield Gym.

Bloomfield, N.J. (1/14/14) The Dominican College women's basketball team ended a six-game losing streak tonight after defeating the Bloomfield College Deacons, 76-67 in overtime in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division clash held at the Bloomfield Gym.
With the victory Dominican improves to 4-10 overall and 2-5 in the CACC.
Senior KC Jentzen (Pearl River, N.Y.) led the Lady Chargers with a career high 34 points (11-17 from the floor, 12-14 from the free throw line and grabbed a team leading 10 rebounds.
Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) added eight points and a team leading five assists, while Deja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) came off the bench to score seven points.
Bloomfield led by as many as seven points in the first half and led 22-16 with 8:35 remaining when the Dominican went on a 17-5 tear to go ahead 33-27 with under two and a half to go. BC ended the half with eight of the last ten points to tie the score at 35-35.
The biggest lead of the second half for Dominican was five points (45-40) with 12:10 on the clock after a three-point bucket from Aliyah Alston (Queens, N.Y.) and led 47-42 after a layup from Jentzen.
Another layup from Jenzten with 1:12 to go in regulation gave the Lady Chargers the slim 60-58 lead, but two free throws from Bloomfield tied the game at 60-60 to force the overtime period.
Tied at 66-all with just over two minutes to go, DC scored the next four of five points and ended the game with two free throws from Jenzten for the 76-67 win.
Dominican will travel to Felician College this Saturday.
