MCGILL LEADS LADY CHARGERS TO VICTORY
Bronxville, N.Y (11/25/14) Sophomore guard Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a career high 20 points and led the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College to a 69-52 victory over Concordia College this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game played at Concordia College.
Bronxville, N.Y (11/25/14) Sophomore guard Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a career high 20 points and led the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College to a 69-52 victory over Concordia College this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game played at Concordia College.
Dominican opened up the contest with the first seven points and extended the lead to 18-3 with 12:04 remaining in the first half. The Clippers countered to close out the half on an 11-5 run to cut the deficit to 32-21 at the break.
Concordia scored the first six points of the second half to pull with in five points (32-27), but the Lady Chargers answered back with consecutive three-point baskets to regain a double-digit lead, 38-27. CC would cut the lead to eight points, but that would be as close as they would get as DC went on to the 69-52 victory.
McGill led all scorers with a career high 20 points (8-19 from the floor).
Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) scored 10 points and a team high seven rebounds, while Lashonda Hathorne* (Queens, N.Y.) added eight points and seven rebounds.
Jacqueline Rywalt* (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) added a team high six assists.
With a win, Dominican improves to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in CACC play.
