(12/3/14) The Dominican College women's basketball team used a 17-0 first half run to pull away from the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 95-66, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division action held on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. In the victory, the Lady Chargers scored a season high 95 points with 54 coming in the second half.

In the victory, the Lady Chargers scored a season high 95 points with 54 coming in the second half.
Dominican held the slight 10-8 advantage with 15:51 to play in the first stanza when the team charged ahead with 17 unanswered points, capped off by three three-point baskets to take a 27-8 lead and would hold a 41-24 lead at the break.
The Lady Chargers would hold the double-digit lead for the second half and would lead by as many as 31 points en route to the 95-66 victory.
DC shot 50.0% (33-66) from the floor for the contest, while shooting 8-22 (36.4%) from the three point arc and 63.6% (21-33) from the charity stripe.
Forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) led all scorers with the game's only double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. She also had a career high seven steals.
Senior Lashonda Hathorne* (Queens, N.Y.) contributed 18 points (7-14) from the floor, while freshman Renee Briggs (New Windsor, N.Y.) came off the bench to score a career high 13 points.
Sophomore Jacqueline Rywalt* (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) had a night best six assists, while Stefani Alston* (West Orange, N.J.) added 10 points and five rebounds.
With the victory, Dominican improves to 4-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers will travel to CACC opponent, Holy Family University this coming Saturday.
