Trailing 10-6 early in the first half, the Lady Chargers rallied with a 5-1 run with Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) scoring the game-tying layup to make the score, 11-11, with 13:43 remaining in the first half.
Holy Family countered with 13 unanswered points to gain a 24-11 advantage and would go up 34-13 with a little over seven minutes left. A Tiger layup with 29 ticks to go would give Holy Family a 52-27 lead at the intermission.
The Tigers would maintain the double-digit lead throughout the entire second half en route to the 93-60 victory.
Dominican shot 38.2 % (21-55) from the floor, 26.7% (4-15) from the three point arc and 58.3% (14-24) from the foul line in the game.
Senior Lashonda Hathorne* (Queens, N.Y.) led three Lady Chargers in double-figures with 16 points (6-12 from the floor) and five rebounds.
Bouffard finished with 12 points, four rebounds and three steals.
Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored 11 points, while Jacqueline Rywalt* (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) had a team leading five assists in the loss.
Freshman guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) came off the bench to net seven points.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in the CACC, while Holy Family improves to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
DC returns to action on December 13th when they travel to CACC foe, Bloomfield College.
