WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALL TO WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY
New Castle, Del. (2/7/15) The Dominican College women's basketball team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to host, Wilmington University, 79-64 this afternoon in a game played at the WU Athletics Complex.

With the loss, the Lady Chargers drop to 10-13 overall and 8-6 in CACC play.
Freshman guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) led two Lady Chargers in double figures as she came off the bench to net 14 points, shooting 6-10 from the floor.
Guard Lashonda Hathorne* (Queens, N.Y.) added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists in the loss.
Deja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) grabbed a team leading nine rebounds and five assists, to go along with nine points.
Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Jacqueline Rywalt* (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) scored nine points a piece.
A McGill trey with 9:33 to play in the first half gave Dominican a 22-16 lead, but 12 unanswered 'Cat points turned things around and gave themthe 28-22 advantage. WU would lead by as many as eight points and took a 36-31 lead into the locker room at the intermission.
Wilmington held a 22 point lead (55-33) with 14:22 to play but Dominican would battle back to cut the deficit to single digits at 66-59 on a layup from Rywalt with under five and a half minutes to play. A 7-0 Wildcat run rebuilt a double-digit lead and the team went on to the 79-64 win.
Dominican is back in action on Thursday evening as they host CACC North Division foe, Post University. Game time is slated for 5:30 pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
