WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COMPLETES SWEEP OF POST UNIVERSITY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/12/15) The Dominican College women's basketball team completed the season sweep of Post University after picking up an 81-61 victory this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division contest played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Junior guard Deja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) led all scorers with a career high 27 points and completed the double-double with a night best 13 rebounds. She came off the bench to go 10-14 from the floor and 7-8 from the free throw line.
Senior Lashonda Hathorne* (Queens, N.Y.) netted 16 points, seven rebounds and a career high seven steals.
Shooter Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored 15 points, while Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) had 10 points.
The Lady Chargers never trailed in the contest, quickly jumping out to a 10-0 lead and extending the lead to 15 points (39-24) at the break.
Gabbidon netted 15 points and eight rebounds in the first stanza. DC went 7-8 (87.5%) from the charity stripe, while shooting 42.9% (15-35) from the floor and were 2-10 (20%) from the three point arc. Post shot 45.8% (11-24) from the floor in the first half and were 2-8 (25%) from the three point line.
Dominican would never lose a double-digit lead in the second frame en route to the 81-61 victory.
As a team, DC went a season high 18-20 (90%) from the free throw line in the game.
With the victory, Dominican improves to 11-13 overall and 9-6 in CACC play.
The Lady Chargers are slated to host the Univesity of the Sciences this Saturday. Game time is set for 1pm on Coach Baxter Court.
