Philadelphia, Pa. (2/13/16) Despite a fourth-quarter power outage, the Chestnut Hill College women's basketball team soared to a 76-55 victory over the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played in Sorgenti Arena.

The power outage forced the final 3:35 victory with the use of cell phone stop clocks and a flip-score.
Following the loss the Lady Chargers drop to 11-14 overall and 7-9 in conference play.
Dominican began the contest with the opening basket from junior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) and later used a jump shot from Nicole Awoonor-Renner (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) to give the team an 11-9 lead with 4:15 left in the first frame. A three-point basket from Shannon McGill* (Staten Island, N.Y.) with a little over than a minute left put DC ahead 18-13 at the end of one quarter.
The second quarter belonged to the Griffins as they outscored the Lady Chargers 22-6 to give them a 35-24 advantage at the break.
From there CHC would lead by as many as 23 points in the third quarter and 24 points in the fourth en route to the 76-55 win.
Bouffard paced three Lady Chargers in double figures with 16 points, four rebounds and two steals.
Déja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) added 14 points, a team high eight rebounds and three steals, while Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) contributed 10 points and three assists.
Dominican is back in action on Wednesday evening as they host Felician College.
