DOMINICAN'S GABBIDON NAMED ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/24/16) Dominican College women's basketball player, Déja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 21st.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/24/16) Dominican College women's basketball player, Déja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 21st.
The senior forward had an outstanding all-around week in leading Dominican to a 2-0 mark, averaging a double-double of 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She shot 71 percent (17-of-24) from the field, while also knocking down 70 percent of her three-point shots (7-of-10).
Gabbidon also dished out 3.0 assists per game, while also swiping a steal per outing. She poured in 28 points versus Felician and had 17 points and 16 rebounds vs. Nyack.
This is her first ECAC Player of the Week honors this season.
