2016 CACC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD IS SET FOLLOWING CONCLUSION OF REGULAR SEASON

(2/24/16) The eight-team field for the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Championship is set following the conclusion of the 2015-16 regular season on Tuesday night. The announcement of the tournament's official bracket was made on Tuesday night by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

(2/24/16) The eight-team field for the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Championship is set following the conclusion of the 2015-16 regular season on Tuesday night. The announcement of the tournament's official bracket was made on Tuesday night by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.
The post-season tournament will begin with the quarterfinals on Saturday, as all four games will tip off at 2 p.m. at the sites of the highest seeds. Saturday's four winners will advance to Championship Weekend next Thursday-Saturday, March 3-5, at Dominican College in Orangeburg, N.Y. The winner of the CACC Tournament will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament.
Both Bloomfield College and Philadelphia University won their respective regular season Division Championships, as the Bears captured the North with an 18-1 conference record, while the Rams took the South with an identical record. Bloomfield will be the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament thanks to its 63-58 win over the Rams back on Jan. 30.
Bloomfield (#1 North) will play host to South No. 4 seed Chestnut Hill College in the quarterfinals in New Jersey, while PhilaU (#1 South) will face off against Nyack College (#4 North) at Gallagher Center in Philadelphia.
Defending CACC Champion Holy Family University (#2 South) will host North No. 3 seed Dominican College, while Caldwell University (#2 North) will square off against the South No. 3 seed University of the Sciences.

#4S CHESTNUT HILL at #1N BLOOMFIELD // Saturday, 2 p.m., Bloomfield, N.J.
Regular Season Meeting: Bloomfield 65, Chestnut Hill 48 (Jan. 22, at Bloomfield)
Key Performers: Tianna Smith poured in a game-high 17 points to pace Bloomfield to the win, while she also grabbed six rebounds and dished out a trio of assists. Jaeda Wildgoose nearly had a double-double for the Griffins with 12 points and nine boards.
#3N DOMINICAN at #2S HOLY FAMILY // Saturday, 2 p.m., Philadelphia, Pa.
Regular Season Meeting: Holy Family 80, Dominican 76 (Jan. 6, at Dominican)
Key Performers: Abigail Iannotti exploded for a huge double-double of 24 points an 15 rebounds to lead HFU to victory. Deja Gabbidon and Lisa Bouffard each pumped in 24 points for the Chargers.
#4N NYACK at #1S PHILADELPHIA // Saturday, 2 p.m., Philadelphia, Pa.
Regular Season Meeting: Philadelphia 75, Nyack 62 (Feb. 13, at Philadelphia)
Key Performers: Rachel Day shot 60 percent from beyond the arc to lead four double-figure scorers for the Rams, as she netted 24 points. Raven Makins led the Warriors with 19 points in the setback.
#3S USCIENCES at #2N CALDWELL // Saturday, 2 p.m., Caldwell, N.J.
Regular Season Meeting: Caldwell 74, USciences 59 (Jan. 6, at USciences)
Key Performers: Antoinette Pilla knocked down a trio of three-pointers and poured in 19 points to spark the Cougars to the road win. Laura Trisch tallied a double-double for the Devils with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Concordia (N.Y.) College, Dominican (N.Y.) College, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Nyack College, Philadelphia University, Post University of Waterbury, University of the Sciences, and Wilmington University.
