GABBIDON NAMED TO 2016 ECAC DIVISION II WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-STAR TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/22/16) Dominican College women's basketball player, Déja Gabbidon, has been named to the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Basketball All-Star First Team as was announced by the conference office today.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/22/16) Dominican College women's basketball player, Déja Gabbidon, has been named to the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Basketball All-Star First Team as was announced by the conference office today.
This is her first ECAC All-Star First Team accolades.
The senior forward from Teaneck, N.J., led the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in points (505), points per game (18.0) and field goals (192). She ranked second in free throws (98), free throw percentage (85.2%), defensive rebounds (193), total rebounds (293), third in rebounds per game (10.5) and fourth in offensive rebounds (100).
Gabbidon earned two CACC Player of the Week honors this season, along with one Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week accolades and one CACC Defensive Player of the Week selections.
She also became the 26th player in Lady Charger history to reach the 1,000 career point plateau back on January 30th, 2016. She currently has scored 1,143 points and 736 rebounds.
This is Gabbidon's second post season honor as she was named to the All-CACC First Team.
