Sparkill, N.Y. (11/13/16)  The Dominican College women's basketball team fell in the final game of the St. Thomas Aquinas Tip-Off Classic to the host, 70-57, this afternoon in a game played in Aquinas Hall Gymnasium.

The Lady Chargers began the game on a 6-0 run and would end the first quarter on a 6-3 run for a 21-16 advantage.

The Spartan offensive came alive in the second quarter as they outscored Dominican, 24-7, to gain a 40-28 lead at the break.

Dominican cut the lead to six points twice in the final quarter, but a 10-1 closing quarter run by STAC gave them the win.

Freshman forward Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) posted a career high 18 points and added six rebounds in the loss.

Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) had an afternoon best 10 rebounds and team high four assists.

DC outrebounded the Spartans, 38-35 in the contest.

The Lady Chargers will travel to non-conference opponent, Pace University, this coming Wednesday.
