COUGARS BEAT LADY CHARGERS
Caldwell, N.J. (11/30/16) The Caldwell University women's basketball team outscored the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 33-15, in the third quarter to lead them to an 87-65 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division win tonight in a game played in the Newman Center.

Dominican trailed 27-18 with 7:48 to play in the second quarter when the Lady Chargers went on an 11-2 run to knot the game at 29-29 with 4:18 to play. Senior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) netted six points during the run, recorded three consecutive baskets, while guard Brittany Stone (Paramus, N.J.) ended the run with a trey.
The Cougars countered with six straight points (35-29), but junior guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) closed out first half play with a jump shot to bring DC within four points, 35-31.
Caldwell used a 33-15 third frame to pull in front 68-46 and both teams netted 19 points each in the fourth quarter for the final 87-65 Cougar victory.
Bouffard and freshman Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) each scored 14 points and six rebounds in the loss.
Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) had a team high four assists and six points.
Dominican (0-6, 0-1 CACC) will host Concordia College this coming Saturday.
