FOURTH QUARTER FOILS LADY CHARGERS

In the lethal fourth quarter, the Golden Falcons scored the first 18 points en route to outscoring the Lady Chargers 28-9 in the frame. The game was tied at 63-all with 1:27 to go when the Golden Falcons netted five straight points to pull ahead 68-63. A DC three from shooter Shannon McGill (Staten Island, N.Y.) ended the contest.
Senior Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) had a team best 11 points, while Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) added 10 points. Alston and guard Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) each had a team high five rebounds, with Rywalt adding a team best seven assists.
McGill came off the bench to record nine points, while Sara Ismail (Clifton, N.J.) scored seven points.
Guard Kyla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.) tallied eight points and four assists.
DC held a 35-29 advantage at the intermission and used a strong third quarter where they outscored their opponents, 22-11, to increase their lead to 57-40 going into the final 10 minutes.
Dominican went 6-9 (66.7%) from the charity stripe, while Felician went 23-36 (63.9%).
Following the loss, the Lady Chargers are now 4-14 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers will travel to Post University this coming Saturday.
